The dog, a black setter owned by the Emersons, terrorized the Geo. Anderson home before being shot. hydrophobia suspected, with plans to ship the head to the University of North Dakota for testing. The bank cashier S. M. Sorenson noted a turpentine odor on the dog, suggesting possible tampering.
