Young Bride Fatally Burned in Farmhouse Fire

In Starkweather North Dakota Miss Ida Grimsdale married to Frank Kuntz. A kitchen oil fire and explosion engulfed Mrs Kuntz in flames as she tried to start the stove. Neighbors and her husband wrapped her in a blanket and rushed her to Devils Lake where she died of burns.

Danish Lutherans to Hold Major North Dakota Convention

Kenmare North Dakota May 1 plans are laid for the annual Danish Lutheran convention at the Danish Lutheran church north of town from June 19 to June 24. The event is expected to be the largest of its kind with attendees from over twenty states. Organizers promise ample quarters and urge attendees to notify S P Nelson or Jens Dixon so autos will meet trains and transport guests to the church.
