Bowbells Social and Industrial Association Elects Officers
Officers were elected to serve until January 1st at a Tuesday court house meeting. E E Hartman was named president with Mrs Geo H Gjertsen as vice president D B Klock secretary and Mrs T O Hunter treasurer. Auckerman Stefanowicz and Hartman were appointed to inspect cemeteries and report needed repairs. A committee was formed to recruit members and badges bearing the association name were to be pursued for next meeting. The next session will be at eight o clock Tuesday in the courthouse.

Kenmare Knocks on Bowbells Pitcher in Seven Inning Tilt
A weather threatened Wednesday ball game at the local park saw Bowbells win four runs in the second inning as Russell dominated Kenmare. Kenmare could not hit, with six strikeouts and only one reach to first, while Moon and Lowe produced routine outs. Bowbells pitchers silenced Kenmare throughout, and the game ended after seven innings with Bowbells ahead as Kenmare failed to muster more than one baserunner.

In Earth, North Dakota on June 14 Joe Tax, employed by Jake Marto, was plowing in a field when two wildcats or lynx chased him. He escaped serious injury by riding a horse toward the house as the animals persisted. Marto and Tax fired at them but scored no hit.

Lignite Interests File Appeal to State Supreme Court
Attorneys for Lignite contention have filed a notice of appeal from district court to the state supreme court dated June 12 in mandamus proceedings dismissed by Judge Templeton last winter.
