Graduating Exercises Draw Huge Lyons Audience

The Lyons opera house hosted graduating exercises with full seating on Thursday and a packed crowd Friday. Students received praise for recitations, music, and the May pole drill while salutatorians Anna Krueger and Clarence Summers and valedictorian Miriam Hartman led ceremonies. The address by Thomas Ar Hiky er urged incorporating athletics and domestic economics into schooling for practical post school work.

Bowbells Triumph Over Lignite in Fast 9th Inning Win

Fort Berthold Indian reservation land open set for August 1

Minot North Dakota reports the Fort Berthold reservation will open for settlement about August 1 under a lottery system. Four to five thousand people may visit, with Minot as land office HQ and registration point. About 360000 acres north and east of the Missouri river across Mountrail and McLean counties will be opened, with entry rules, payment plan, and six year term.

Tractor Eases Bowbells Street Traffic On Main

Tuesday evening Bowbells Implement Co introduced a new 20 horsepower gasoline tractor that traveled down Main Street crushing hard dirt mounds near the old waterworks ditch, easing traffic difficulties caused by the rough surface.
