Minot North Dakota December 29 Forty seven dressed turkeys worth about two hundred twenty five dollars were stolen from H B Wheeler's at Loraine between Saturday night and Monday morning. Wheeler a grain buyer and poultry dealer had left the turkeys at the elevator for shipment. Two Lorraine youths, seeing a truck on the road west of town, noted the license number and later learned it was issued to a Mohall man.

McPeek Freed From Prison Reported By State Board
Bismarck North Dakota December report indicates J M McPeek under murder sentence has been pardoned after a December pardon board meeting. Confirmation from the state penitentiary said the pardon was granted due to his daughters illness and that he will move her to a warmer climate. McPeek was sentenced eight years ago in Ward County for the murder of his wife.

Farmers sued on notes for stock in Minot bank
About 40 farmers in this section were cited to appear in county court at Minot to show cause why judgments on notes given for stock in the Savings Loan and Trust company of Minot should not be entered. Several have hired counsel and are preparing a defense. They claim misrepresentation by stock salesmen who said they would have stock in a bank to be organized at Watford City. When it was learned the notes were for stock in the holding company rather than the Watford City bank, many demanded return of their notes. Notes range from 100 to 1000 dollars.
