Grand Forks North Dakota January 6 Samuel Kirby the so called miracle doctor of Northwood was bound over to the district court by Justice Phil McLaughlin on a charge of manslaughter in the first degree. The death of Edward Strum Mayville North Dakota is alleged to have resulted from Kirby’s treatment. Bail was fixed at 1000. The preliminary hearing lasted Tuesday afternoon in the district court room at the county courthouse. The room was crowded with spectators many unable to enter.

Mrs Christina Regnell Obituary in Flaxton Times
Mrs Christina Regnell died at her son Charles home at 10 p m after a brief illness of acute heart trouble. She was born Christine Elizabeth Ham mar in Sweden July 29 1835 and married Erick Regnell in 1866. They came to the United States in 1892 and to North Dakota in 1902. Her husband died December 9 1911 on his Northgate homestead. Survived by son Charles and daughters Mrs A F Nelson St Hillare Minn and Mrs Esther Botton Flaxton. Funeral at Presbyterian church at 2 o clock today Friday with burial at Flaxton cemetery.

A bridge over Des Lacs lake east of town collapsed last Monday night forcing residents to cross by ice. The county board inspected the damage and closed access to both ends.
