Land Sale Totals From Bottineau County Auction
The Bottineau county land sale at the courthouse last Thursday and Friday totaled 712,938.50 dollars from 36,009.87 acres at an average price of 19.80 per acre. One fifth of the purchase price was paid in cash, totaling 143,737.70 with 143,737.70 including 1,150 in fees. State land officials Ole J. Riley Dies After Appendicitis Attack at Home
G C Riley, long-time resident near Bottineau, died Monday night after an appendicitis burst led to blood poisoning. He was 70s, survived by wife Catharine Skewart, seven children, a widowed mother, and two brothers. Funeral held at Opera House with Odd Fellows and Masons in full honor. Rev Davis preached.

Farm House Burns Near Bottineau in Fire
Henry Warner’s farm house about three miles northwest of Bottineau burned Saturday afternoon. He and Emmett Amsbaugh reached the scene and saved a trunk from the blaze. The house and contents including furniture money and jewelry were destroyed. Cause of the fire is unknown.
