The Presbyterian congregation in Bottineau hosted a Monday evening reception for Judge elect and Mrs. A G Burr who depart next week for Rugby. Burr was ill and could not attend, regrets were voiced by many neighbors. Gifts included a silver set and a cut glass water net.

Arrests for Wheat Theft Shake McKenzie County
A. Bergeron files complaint leading to the arrest of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer W. Anderson on charges of stealing about 100 bushels of wheat from a Bergeron granary. They appeared before Justice Mark Hawker, bound over to district court with $500 bonds each, and recently moved to a claim near Alexander after selling possessions at public auction. The incident dates from last March at the Bergeron farm, about a mile from his home. The couple’s baby boy was born Wednesday night. Mrs. Baker remains on the Williame county claim. A separate note mentions Mrs. Roy Stephens planning a Iowa visit and Canada trip with their husband to work land there.

Insane Augusta man sent home after land sale plan
William Kunz of Augusta Illinois appeared before the insanity commissioners in Lansford to discuss a 120 acre land sale. He became violently insane around the sale time and was declared of unsound mind. He was ordered returned to his Augusta home.
