Child Rescued After Fall From Stair Landing

Little Viola Adams residing with her grandparents in the Stranathan building fell from the outside stair landing to the ground Tuesday afternoon. W G Stranathan witnessed the fall, carried her to Long's, where she quickly revived and showed no injuries, though the fall could have been serious.

Beaverton-Southeast Highway Rally Sets Spring Start

Beaver citizens and neighbors met in Laverne to plan early marking and logging of a new southeast highway from Bahoma City to the northwest via Woodward Lame Clear Lake and Beaver. R M Risley of Elmwood, recently ill, left for a Guthrie sanitarium with son Ross Risley. he may stay for treatment. The Mothers Club will host an informal reception for Beaver school faculty on Friday September 16 at 7 o'clock P M at the hall. all patrons are invited.

Beaver High School Social At Methodist Church

A church social honoring Beaver High School students was held last Thursday night at the Methodist Church with about fifty youths in attendance. The event took place on the lawn and was described as a good time. Mrs. Mary B. Hanly, Bellview southwest of Forgan, visited Beaver residents on Sunday.

Mrs A H Busing of Beaver County Kansas died Sunday September 11 in Meade Kansas. She was a pioneer resident who ran the Chmaron river ranch half way stop for travelers and a post office. known for hospitality and generosity. The Herald extends sympathy to her family.

The Mothers' Club held a grade school auditorium meeting last Friday with strong attendance. Officers outlined plans for the year, including a faculty reception at K P Hall and committees for general arrangements and flower duties.

Purebred Hog Sale Tops Beaver County County

J A McWilliams of Kemp led Beaver County purebred hog sales with an average of 249.00 for bred sows and gilts and a total of 7842.00. A sow bought by Mart Turkey of Elmwood brought 1026.00, another sow and three of her litter sold for 2000.00, and offspring of a sow brought 3440.00, signaling Beaver County as a leading purebred hog area.
