Bogue Hotel Changes Hands In Family Transfer
A deal this week saw the Bogue hotel pass from former proprietor Ben Bogue to his brother EB E Bogue of Six Mile. The new proprietor will run the rooms and his son in law Roy Broadfoot and wife will manage the opening room. Ben will relocate to Colorado where the Bogues own land.

Mothers Club Hosts Beaver Teachers Night Reception
The Moth ers Club entertained Beaver school faculty at the K P hall last Friday. Performances included piano solos by Mrs Jett Holland and vocal numbers by Mrs H B Stonum. Welcome addresses were given by Mrs W T Quinn and responses by A O Andrew Fred E Hawkins M C Green and W J Henson. Guests of honor included A O Andrew Hawkins Green and Drum along with several teachers and local couples. Miss Lenore Long plans a trip to Alva then Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota. Beaver County residents are urged to visit the county fair set in Beaver Heights with a grand midway, pavilion, stock shed, and new grounds. War Time Care and a Woodward Clothing Rescue
Some time ago Bob McKennie of Mangum a soldier of the 90th Division who was gassed in the Argonne drive war sent by the government from Mangum to the state hospital at Supply for medical treatment. Dr Bagby superintendent gave him the best of attention and improved considerably. An order was received to transfer him to the Dr Duke Sanitarium at Guthrie for further treatment. On Tuesday Steward Kinanee was sent with him to see that he lacked no care or attention on the road. On arrival in Woodward no wait of several hours occurred. Among others who saw Mr McKensie was Sam Littrell a clothing merchant who said a soldier of them will never leave Woodward unless he is at war where so many Wild boys were gassed or killed and Sam fitted out the soldier with a new suit of clothes with average from shoes to necktie and wardrobe to carry his up. The young man was a new person when Sam got through fixing him up. Wonder how many of our citizens shat the patriotic impulses of Mr Littell to the extent of putting such feelings into practical effect. How soon we forget Grover Monroe of Enid was guest of Mr and Mrs J B Sp Vier in Beaver Saturday night and Sunday. He returned to Balko Monday where he has been for a week writing Insurance.

Mrs Marcella Woods of Loan Oklahoma Dies at 72
Mrs Marcella Woods born September 16 178? in Lewis county died September 9 1821 at age 72 entered Logan cemetery. She migrated from West Virginia to Chalk Mound Kansas then to Texas and Ollatona near Logan where she spent her later years. Survived by Daisy Thompson and brothers.

Child Hurt In Market Elevator Incident
Little Owen Andrew played near an elevator at Branathan's Market Monday evening and fell, bruising his forehead. He recovered and was back at play with a large bump on his head, and the incident was not as serious as feared.

The B Y P U of the Baptist church hosted a Friday evening outing for high school students with a motorcycle ride and return to Mrs John Sanders home for punch and cake. Leora Bernies Hibbs daughter of Mrs Minne Hibbs died Sept 18 1921 at age two years one month sixteen days after four days illness. Services were held at Capital View church with interment at the nearby cemetery. The Herald extends sympathy to the relatives.

Serious Accident Near Beaver River Bridge Involving Doctor Long
Doctor Long and his son escaped injury after a near head on collision with a stranger driving a Ford near Lib ral Karene. The other vehicle’s windshield and wheel were damaged, two occupants were shaken, and Dr Long received funds to cover his car repair. The stranger fled after the crash but returned to strike again, ending with minor injuries and a damaged Chevrolet roadster.

F N Hank Lets Contract For Furnace And Second Story
The First National Hank awarded a contract this week for installing a hot air furnace and building a second story totaling about 2000 feet at a price of 6000 dollars. The entire second story will house law offices of Stacy Welle. C. K. Drum has purchased the Art Thomas property in Beaver and will not receive payment for rent for a specified month as it was rented before the sale.
