Cecil Temple and wife of Hutchinson Kansas plan to stay the summer to aid Mrs Ed Gardner who is ill with tuberculosis. The American Legion poppy sale is set for Monday May 2 with tag day in many towns. poppies to honor World War dead will be sent by Legion headquarters. Dr Cafky of the Bank of Beaver City was a Woodward visitor earlier this week.

Annual Meeting of Mothers Club Forms Plans
The Mothers' Club held its annual meeting at the grade school Friday afternoon with music by Leota Thomas and reports from Mrs Flow and Secretary Miss Holland. Officers elected: President Mrs R H Looftbarrow, Vice President Mrs F Tracy, Treasurer Mrs Roy Brown, Secretary Mrs Ed Humphhy. The secretary summarized club activities including tree care, teacher reception, Red Cross drives, dinner for the American Legion, support for the Community Christmas Tree, fire escapes, pavilion funds, library expansion, and a cemetery cleanup campaign. The treasurer reported year receipts of about 600.66 and expenditures to support pavilion, library, Endowment and community projects. The library will open in summer under Mrs E Fickel. Committees for the summer play supervision were named. Next meeting set for the second Friday in September.

The Clans of ’22 at B H S held commencement events with baccalaureate services on May 14 and 16 1922 at Christian church. The program included processions invocations addresses songs and class histories led by faculty and students. A second commencement at the Christian church on May 18 featured salutatory address songs six girls valedictory and diploma presentations by Supt A D Andrew with Rev H G Butler giving benediction.
