J I Quinn requests support in the Republican primaries for County Surveyor. He has served the past term and is described as worthy of hearty support. The piece praises him as an Old Soldier among Beaver county's Old Boys and urges a vote for Quinn in both the primary and the general election.

A. Guffy, slated to become Beaver school superintendent, is cited for strong Scholastic attainments and broad teaching experience. A Kentucky native, he studied at Southern Normal School Defiance College and Columbia University, taught in Pittsburg and Oklahoma City, and led a seven year Business Training department. He plans to introduce a practical Business Training course for graduation credit. He has resided in Harper County and has farming interests in Harper and Beaver counties, and will move to Beaver with his family before the new school year.
A Sunday wind storm devastated parts of the state with twisters in Oklahoma City Shawnee and Okeene causing loss of life and extensive property damage. The event disrupted communities while sheltering beauty and resilience among residents.

George Packard Brown Sr. died at his Beaver County home on Friday May 7 after a two week illness. A 72 year old with long health battles, he established a large family with his wife. He leaves his wife, eleven children, and many grandchildren. Funeral services Saturday were directed by the local Odd Fellows lodge with burial in Bouvert Cemetery.
An Advisory Board will meet at the courthouse Monday May 20 to outline county agent activities and host the Mother Club for dinner. Memorial and Decoration Day services are planned May 24 with parade, graveside ceremonies, flower girls, and a ball game afterward at the pavilion.
J W Ferguson of near Gray enters the Coromiatower race after a county singing convention where friends drafted him. A longtime Balko township clerk and farmer, he promises to win and improve road work using proven methods. Willam Moore and wife of Bal ko attended local exercises and are former Beaver Web graduates.
In response to a Mother's Club request volunteers gathered at the cemetery last week to tidy neglected gravel and the graves. Despite good turnout the effort fell short of full participation and more help is urged before Decoration Day. Relatives and friends are asked to keep gravesites in respectable condition and lend a hand to maintain the resting place of loved ones. Mime Dave Brown and Geo Casky were Sunday guests at the shore of Mr. and Mrs. Walk Oty, F. Chapman and wife of Mo cane, were gumaiy last week at the home of Mr. Chapmane parente, Geo. He Wright and wife visited. now that we have cleaned up.
Mrs Loorborough recently presented a library to the Mothers' Club, now containing 169 volumes. The free collection, cared for by Mrs BL, invites gifts of good books from others to benefit the community and extend its availability.
Arrangements have been made to hold meetings in many townships to vote a Free Fair and elect two persons from each township as members of the Fair Association. Scheduled dates cover Beaver Elmwood Clear Lake Overtreet Gate Knowles Garland Floris Lorena Sunset Kokomo Balko Fulton with times ranging from May to June.
