Sunset Sunset Continent Pateontologist Finds Ancient Mastodon Tusk
L D Chappell of Sunset turned paleontologist after a buggy load of mastodon tusks was found four and a half miles northeast of Sanret. The tusks, an 8 inch diameter log and likely 10 to 12 feet long, date to prehistoric times. Beavor County hunters secured the fragments and will preserve them for public inspection at Gunnee store.

Old Gentleman Wyand Passes Away in Metz Missouri
BB Wyand father of Mrs RB Quinn died at his Metz Missouri home Saturday after a prolonged illness. He suffered paralysis earlier this year and was unable to speak or move. Mrs Quinn cared for him for weeks before his death, and many Beaver residents express sympathy to the Quinn family.

McMurdo Dies Suddenly After Arm Injury
G W McMurdo of six Die died Friday after a brief illness caused by osteomyelitis from a minor arm bruise. The condition rapidly worsened within days and he passed in agony. Funeral services were held Saturday with interment in Beaver cemetery as friends and neighbors offered condolences.
