The Board of County Commissioners met Monday and Tuesday as residents repair fences roads and gullies. Local tradesmen report cars from Rossell and B P Russell, with Tracy buying a Buick and joining the Ford group. Beaver River fishing rises with high water while Judge WOM faces serious illness and Attorney Dickson returns from Oklahoma City amid flood delays.
Eighth grade examinations will follow the same rules and examiners as April. They are set for Thursday and Friday May 14 and 15. Students who failed any subject may retake. successful candidates will receive diplomas. Superintendent H L OQ presiding at district office.
The Presbyterian Indies hosted a May Day social at the Presbyterian church on Saturday night. The program, though moved from Friday due to rain, featured desserts and cake and drew a large crowd who enjoyed a varied program of music and readings.

The father and mother escaped briefly but could not rescue the children as the flood swept the house away. The older girl’s body recovered Friday, the infant Sunday. The tragedy left the Brites destitute, with cattle, horses, hogs, and other property lost in the flood. neighbors express deep sorrow.
