Ray Weir rents a location opposite the police station and is preparing to open this week. He expects to be ready for business by the latter part of the week and anticipates good trade once operating.
Notice sets Beaver Oklahoma office for June 27 1922 at 2 pm for annual election of directors and other proper business. Jacob Achenbach president and F C Tracy secretary certify. Also reports H J Benton and Miss Emma Eliza Dodson of Gate obtained license June 6 1922 and were married later at Gate.
Remarks from W. B. Morgan note seven years in Beaver with the past year showing the most improvement in flowers shrubs and grass. The Herald editor and Mrs. O H Casky left for Oklahoma City to join Oklahoma club women as delegates to the General Federation of Women's Clubs in Chautauqua New York returning through New York City and Washington.
We extend gratitude to kindly neighbors who battled the blaze to save our grain and fuel, hauling water and assisting during the fire. Their hard work saved much of the grain and even our car, though only the vehicle survived. B. T. Venable
The article describes a Dewey day event with directors George Fatal Lorema and A. A. Blankell leading plans. Directors seek to run a benefiting fair with Beavor and Riv erekde entries and a home talent show prize near $100 to attract local schools and participants.
County Agent Hanly of Beaver reports ample harvest workers will be available except Beaver county in the Panhandle where about 100 outside men are needed at $2.00 per day with board and lodging. Applicants should contact Hanly by June 20 to be placed with wheat growers. Only able bodied white English speaking men are sought for harvest work.
Agent Marts of the B M and EB intermine announces the early morning train will resume this week starting Friday. The Boover departure is at 4 20 p m with connections to W P and N W at Forgan. Service continues every other day until wheat movement to resume, then service will be daily.

B Eekels of Madison declares for Beaver county sheriff subject to Republican primary. He has lived in the county twenty years and recently died on a homestead near Clear Lake. His wife is deceased. Father-in-law M Hester supports him, praising his honesty and suitability for the office.
Beaver hosts a successful revival led by Evangelist Frank Mathis and Mrs. Armstrong with workers and local families contributing. One hundred twenty four residents embraced the Christian message as neighbors from Forgan Balko and nearby areas joined in, expressing gratitude and hopes for future gatherings. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler and others from Lorena Marion and Larned Kansas, with building plans and social visits noted among local activities.
County eighth grade commencement will be held at Beaver Saturday evening June 17 at o oclock in the airdome. J A Whitehornt, president of the Board of Agriculture, will deliver the address or send Dr. Chas Evans an educator author and lecturer well known to the state. Dr Evans is now director of Educational Extension of the A M College. Special music is being prepared.
A Liberal Kansas preacher Wade Adneal delivered a stirring sermon after Sunday School at 10 a.m. The congregation praised God and welcomed a young man who was aided and sanctified. Adneal will return to preach the second Sunday each month.
Interested residents urged to attend Ald me In Beaver Friday night at 8 to organize and mod practice. Regular meeting of American Legion 1 Foot Headquarters Saturday evening at 8 20. Pond Creek Chief Bunyan, old friend of Wo Morgan, visited Beaver last week.
The Ladle munic club held its final meeting of the year at Beulah Hall on Tuesday evening. Mrs W G Stranathan led a Temon program featuring works by several authors, piano duets by Holland and Mall, and vocal numbers by Verta and Carter. Next year’s programs were approved, officers thanked, and new members elected. Refreshments followed as the group set the first Tuesday in October for the next meeting.
H B Bridgewater and family drove to the eastern part of the county for business on Wednesday and spent the night with J C Goodners, returning on Thursday. W W Hagan accompanied them.
William Smith known as Un cle Billy Smith of Beaver township suffered a severe accident when his team ran away dragging him. He was knocked down and dragged for some distance, tearing flesh under a shoulder blade and injuring bone. Loren Strong found him and a doctor was summoned promptly.
A 15 year old, Cramor, had a severe head injury when his horse threw him near the Jim Berker home south of town while driving stock to the Bart Holland farm. He suffered concussion but regained consciousness after hours. doctors expect a full recovery.
