Mrs Beulah Hall has donated twelve Alger Books to the Mothers Club for the local library. The titles include Adrift in the City Andy Grants Pluck Brave and A Boy's Fortune Ben's Nugget Frank's Campaign Digging for Gold Jed the Poorhouse Boy Hector's Inheritance Jack's Ward Julius The Young Outlaw The Lion of St Mark Pot Scouts on the Trail Boy Scouts in Camp. The Mothers Club and library users praise the gift as a sign of community spirit. W B Hanly was reappointed County Agent for another year for Beaver County with notable work and expected continued success.

Three Knowles Citizens In Car Crash Near Camar

Richard Bagshaw was killed and Bert Boseman along with G H Keller were seriously injured when their auto collided with a railroad train carrying Hastern Shriners to San Francisco near Camar Colorado last Friday. Boseman and Keller were rushed to the hospital.

A marriage license was issued on May 31 1992 to Ray Leroy Kile and Dorothy Alice Fowler and they were united in marriage by Judge Mepse.

Perryton Beaten by Beaver in Sunday Baseball Clash

Beaver Oklahoma defeated Perryton 28 to 7 on Beaver’s diamond last Sunday. Beaver's batteries were Niles, Couch, and Merce. Perryton’s lineup included Clai Bright, Hall, and Thompson. A return game is set for next Sunday as Perryton sharpens up for stronger play in the Panhandle. Rumors say Peters may rejoin the Perryton squad to boost pitching. Beav er farm barn burns. stallions perish in blaze

A large barn at E. T. Venable's Beav er farm southwest of Beaver burned Tuesday night. Two fine stallions, grain, harness and other valuables were lost. Mr. Venable was bedridden and unable to escape. Insurance coverage on the barn is 41,000 with nothing on contents or animals.

P. P. Prsinger Dead In Timwbig Visit

The community was shocked by the death of P. P. Prysinger former county treasurer during a visit in Timwbig. He had spent recent years in Forgan where he made his home.

New Business Training Course Planned for Local High School

A new practical business training course will be added to the Heavy High School for 1922 23 overseen by A C Gufly. It covers bookkeeping shorthand typewriting and allied subjects to prepare students for business careers and supports general education with vocational focus. Mr Gufly, a Bowling Green and Defiance College graduate, will supervise the program after years heading business training in Oklahoma City High School and other cities.

Advance information suggests J B Spurrier will be named postmaster at the local office on an early date though confirmation is pending. Engaged Pair Quarrels Over Jury Verdict At Bar

In a heated dispute two engaged individuals argued over a jury verdict. To bolster his claim one man quoted scripture and the other challenged him, offering six dollars to prove repetition of The Lord's Prayer. Traveling Libraries may be obtained by American Legion posts in Oklahoma free of charge from the Oklahoma Library Commission. Books can be kept two months, extendable for two more, or returned for a new library on the same terms, with six month Community Library loans supervised by a post librarian.
