Weathered rain delays threshing after harvest update

Another soaking rain visited this section Monday evening and again delayed threshing for a few days. Practically all the wheat is in the stack, however, and the rain did no damage to it. The crop prospects look fine with the rain aiding the raw crop growth.

Beaver’s Long Hoped Railroad Nears Completion

Urgent fundraising and worker mobilization drive Beaver citizens to raise 8000 dollars in a week to complete contracts. Steel and ties expected to arrive at Forgan within a week or ten days, with a goal to lay at least one mile of track before August first. Social at Court House Brings Beavers Rand Music

The street corner social postponed by rain moved to the court house Thursday evening. Beavers Rand played lively music as dark clouds loomed but did not deter the crowd. Sherbet and cake were served and a neat sum was netted for the organizers.
