Local notes on appointments and town arrivals in Liberal

J G Trindie of Libor and Attorney Phillips of Okmulgee were in Liberal on business. The Carter Tracy Hardware Co unloaded a wagon load of Weber wagons. Mrs. C F Twyford returned home after visiting. Mr. Seth K E Cook and Mrs. Nora Mattie Shaw wed in the morning. Rev Rash and family moved into the Paul Roberts property. Mrs Viola League traveled to Texhoma to visit her son. Mrs Josephine Smith and son Clive returned from Alva. Mrs Smith has kept house for her daughter Ruby at Normal in Alva. L T Floyd took the Riverside mail route. Willis Raybourn on the Riverside route. J E Love left for Kansas City for railroad, water and light contracts for Beaver. The Street Corner social was postponed due to rain and rescheduled for Thursday. Mrs W G Stranathan returned from Wichita improved. J R Bolen of Liberal to install elevator and handle bumper wheat. Remarks on jokes and taking offense. Rev M T Long, pastor of Slat suffering from poison ivy, improving. Delegation from Teaver to Kansas City secured contracts with Love for rail construction and 900,000 bond. A fishing party left for Six Mile, will return Saturday. W F Carson of Renfrew Investment took over Fields Insurance Agency, representing Hartford to Liverpool London & Globes. Gupp, an eastern bond buyer, predicted Liberal population growth to 1000 within two years.

Beaver Band Concert Impresses Large Crowd

The Beaver band gave a strong Thursday night concert to a large crowd. The new band is completed and likely to perform weekly through the rest of the summer. Beaver soon gains electric lights replacing charcoal lamps at the bandstand for better illumination.

Entertains Teacher at Loyal Workers Bible School

Misses Tackett Tan ner entertain the Loyal Workers Bible School class of the Christian church in the White House hotel parlors last Saturday evening in honor of teacher Mrs Nora Quinn. Rooms were decorated in green and white. The young ladies played games and served a no course lunch. The teacher received a foot stool as a gift.

Chapin will travel by Anno Under this plan the Liberal Beaver mail arrives earlier, reaching Hoon by noon and arriving at Liberal around five o clock each day.

Beaver's Rail Line to Beaver City Will Be Built

A Beaver citizens committee in Kansas City signed final papers for the Beaver Meade & Englewood Railway linking Beaver to W1 and connecting with the W N W. The project aims to start within 30 to 60 days, bringing a modern railroad and utilities to Beaver. Citizens praise the effort of local farmers and supporters who funded and backed the undertaking and vow to ensure fair markets for wheat and local products.

The couple to visit Gate before settling in Beaver near the WT Quinn property. he is a rising Beaver resident and she a Gate educator daughter of T A Williamson. The community offers heartfelt congratulations and well wishes for a long, prosperous union.

Marthe Society held a meeting last Thursday afternoon with seventeen members present. Mrs Mae Pigkol received a glass set as a gift. refreshments included sherbet and cake. Officers elected for the next term were Mrs PL Thoman as President, Mrs Ora Tracy as Vice President, Mrs Ly La Shaw as Secretary, and Mrs W T Quinn as Treasurer.

Rainfall Aids Crops Sustaining Late Week Harvest

A gentle rain began Tuesday evening and continued through Wednesday, credited with benefiting row crops and promising a splendid yield. The shower was timely, not a heavy rain, and there was little wind, preserving ripe wheat and other harvestables.
