Threshing Engine Fire Destroys Wheat on North Flats
A threshing machine owned by R A Whisnant on the North Flats farm burned last Monday when a spark from the engine ignited a wheat stack belonging to H P Hadden. A man trying to fight the fire spread flames with a forkful of blazing wheat, igniting the stack above. About 800 bushels of wheat were lost before the blaze was controlled.

Obituary of Fred Hale Died at Medford Oklahoma
Fred Hale son of Mr and Mrs W Hale died in Medford Oklahoma on June 29 after illness from typhoid fever. Born in Kansas, he lived there until age twelve and later moved with his family to eastern Uleldhoue area then five miles south of Beaver. Funeral view held in Medford with interment there. He was a promising young man well known and deeply mourned by many.
