County Officer Upholds Bootlegger Sentence on Lovelace
In a case heard at Shattuck, Lovelace was found guilty of selling whiskey. Judge Squire set 60 days and a $2 fine. An appeal to the criminal court of appeals upheld the county court, and Lovelace began serving his sentence in jail. Three other bootleggers are also jailed in the county.
