In Liberal on December 1912 two marriages were performed by Rev. W. T. Ward and Rev. Shaw. Maggie Brock of Keitheburg wed M Clyde Keen of Blue Mound in the parlor of Carton House. Mirarea Bogue and Roy Broadfoot of Riverside married Christmas Day at Rev. Shaw's home. Katie Hibbe of Elmwood married George McDavitt at the bride’s home. Each couple will reside near their farms and relatives extend heartfelt congratulations.
The Beaver band staged a free concert at the Court House praising their English Hunting Song and Southern Cotton Plantation pieces. The program impressed with first class music, earning praise for professional-like execution and urging the city to support such a fine group.
The Christian Bible School members enjoyed a unique New Year celebration at Mr and Mrs EB L Fickel home. The event featured miniature County Fair amusements such as Bowling Archery Base Ball Spelling and more. Guests rode an airship at the end for a thrilling finish followed by a two course luncheon.
Wright of the abstract firm Lawson Wright sold his interest in the Hominess to M A Clark. Transfer on January 16. Wright plans future work unspecified likely returning to Guymon. Beavers welcome Clark and wife, hoping their arrival proves pleasant and profitable.
Beaver reframes mail delivery with Meade Star and Englewood routes discontinued. Liberal route remains via Forgan, delivering around 8 pm, with a morning mall from Forgan arriving about 1: a.m. and departing toward Forgan near 5 pm. This alters Riverside mail timing and access to important deliveries.
