The second annual Panhandle Education Association gathering took place in Guymon Oklahoma February 20 21 and 22 2019 with 180 teachers in attendance It featured a debate on arming reductions where the Negative prevailed and lectures on Rural School Curriculum Yellowstone National Park and Panhandle agricultural topics The event announced new officers and adopted resolutions urging liberal state funding for the Panhandle Agricultural Institute and related facilities

Mule kicks teen in fatal accident near Six Mile
Roy Beebe fifteen year old son of Mr and Mrs O E Beebe of Six Mile was seriously injured when a mule kicked him while being led to water. The hoof struck just above the right eye, tearing flesh and crushing the frontal bone. He survived the blow and is recovering, while his two sisters have been ill with pneumonia.
