Census supervisors have been appointed for the 1921 census. C H Hyde of Alva is named supervisor for this district. Beaver County is rated eighth census region.
Henderson's Cash Grocery in Beaver is sold to D Cates of Cates Cash Grocery and will likely operate at the old K P building. Henderson plans to stay in Beaver to manage harvests before a possible move to Wyoming with his brother-in-law W C Summers and families. He also sold his farm near Boyd to Rev J W Duff and disposed of his town property.
Stanley Spurrier, son of J. E. Spurrier, returned to Beaver Monday after almost two years in the Marine Corps. He enlisted early and served overseas, escaping serious injury. Friends and The Herald extend a warm welcome and happy reunion.

Ernest Slocum’s First Annual Duroc Jersey Hog Sale drew about 600 attendees, totaling 5880 dollars with 88 bred gifts and sons at 5000 dollars, and 1 spring boar plus 16 spring pigs at 880 dollars. The event featured Orion Breed No 267425 and kept all sold hogs in Beaver County for breeding, marking a new era in local swine industry.
J R Sensenich father of Mrs Nelle Groves of Forgan died at Union Soldiers Home Ft Dodge Kansas August 16 in his 89th year from old age. An Old Soldier of the Grand Army of the Republic he leaves a legacy as Beaver county pioneer and a respected figure. The Herald editor recalls childhood days and extends sympathy to Mrs Groves and family.
