Leading Vestaburg physician Dr A D Ballau dies at 38
Dr A D Ballau a prominent Vestaburg physician who served eastern Montcalmn and western émtiot counties died at his home Wednesday night after a period of illness. He came to Vestaburg twelve years ago and helped grow the village economy by building the Vestaburg elevator. Survived by his wife and parents, his funeral at his home Sunday was conducted by the Edmore Masonic lodge and drew one of the largest crowds in town. Interment was in Vestabary.

All About a Milk License Case in City Court

Police Court Echoes in Pine River Arrests and Fines
Norman Wheeler of Pine River was arrested Saturday for drunkenness and found guilty Monday before Justice Chadwick. Wheeler paid eight dollars, then faced more costs. Lester Thomas, also from Pine River, was arrested after a Sunday celebration and charged with drunken and disorderly conduct, fined six dollars and costs.
