Alma College Opens Twenty First Year With Expanded Faculty

Alma College readies its twenty first year with a larger, more capable faculty and new hires. H J Meyer becomes head of the School of Business. John W Beach A M joins to teach Latin and Greek. Miss Bien Ransom is slated to lead piano studies. Ground improvements include extensive building repainting and renovations. The Hood Museum gains a gift of Geodes from W A Worthen of Keokuk Iowa. Attendance is expected to surpass prior years as rooms fill and prospective students respond strongly.

I O T M M of Alma Hive No 99 hosted visitors from surrounding towns at their hall. Bad weather reduced attendance but a noon banquet fed guests. A program followed with recitations, songs, figure work, tableaus, and solos by members and guests. More hives are expected to visit Alma soon.
