Michigan editors meet at Republican press association opening

The Michigan Republican Press Association opened meetings yesterday in a dignified way with a fair attendance and more arriving on later trains. Gov. Pingree and Senators Smith and Burrows are expected at tonight's Alma Sanitarium Co banquet. Citizens are invited to attend sessions at the opera house and a musical program in the college chapel this afternoon. A full report will appear in next week's Woman's Club edition of the Revorn.

Holmes Returns From Fort McPherson With Sick Furlough

J W Holmes arrived back from Fort McPherson Georgia on Monday with his son Milton who had a thirty day sick furlough Milton had been convalescent five days after five weeks of illness including hospital time at Fernandina and Fort McPherson Barster McDonald Eastman were in the hospital with him Eastman was sent home to Harbor Springs Barster was due to leave soon and McDonald to be sent home after convalescence Holmes praises the Red Cross and government care He and Eastman lost about 40 pounds and he says he does not want garrison duty but will not seek a discharge if called.

Pretty home wedding at Alma as Minnie Elli cott wed Frank Wheeler

On Thursday at three o clock p m a pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr and Mrs Frank Elli cott. Minnie Elli cott married Frank Wheeler of Aberdeen Washington with Rev M D Carrel officiating. About fifty friends attended and gave costly presents including a silver tea and water set from the M E church society. The couple left for Aberdeen via D G R W train 6 16 heading to their new home. The bride is highly regarded in Alma social circles and Mr Wheeler is connected with a wholesale and retail grocery business in Aberdeen.
