Forest Hill Wedding Brings Joy in 1890
Forest Hill reports the marriage of Gustav Mey and Mamie Peterson on Monday July 28 1890 officiated by Rev Killeen of St Louis. The ceremony featured a cornet band and a large family gathering. After a wedding dinner the couple left for Niagara Falls for a week, amid best wishes from friends. Also a local land sale lists about 55 acres for sale on contract with small down payment in Lum her township.
