A Business Men's Fair By Presbyterian Ladies Aid Society
The Ladies of the Presbyterian Church plan a two week fair October 11 12 and 18 to fund a new church building. They seek contributions from business men wholesale dealers farmers and others with gifts including grain apples and even stones. Booths themed by day will feature wash tubs ironing day silver polishing and bake day with reception October 12 ice cream and cake. A corner stone dinner on October 1 costs two cents and a cookbook will be published.

Woolen Mill Rebuild Spurred by New Machinery Purchase
Bert Woodward and Harry Moore bought a complete woolen mill setup from CE Clark of Lowell for Alma. The plan is to move the machinery to Alma and erect a new building on the old mill site, burned two years ago. The newer equipment enables a larger, better business, with Harry Moore to run the mill.

A Rib Injury From Falling Bricks At Local Factory
Henry Miner was struck on the ground floor when a wheelbarrow full of bricks fell from the third floor at the sugar factory. He sustained a broken rib with fears of more serious injuries.
