Rapid Beet Delivery Boosts Alma Sugar Plant Output
The Alma plant of Michigan Sugar Co. receives beets faster this year thanks to fine weather and better roads. Nearly 50,000 tons are delivered or in sight as beet sheds fill and piles form nearby for easy handling. The improved quality sustains daily operations at capacity. She belonged to Presbyterian church and Eastern Star lodge, serving as an officer.
