An old advertisement touts a recipe with fluid extract dandelion compound kargon compound syrup sarsaparilla. It claims to relieve urinary troubles and kidney issues after meals and at bedtime with a tea spoonful dose. It cites an eminent authority and a local druggist offering ingredients or mixing services. It also ends with a political endorsement for Richard E. Hughes for county clerk.
The Michigan State Sunday School Association will hold its annual convention in Detroit on November 12 and 13, 1908. Marion Lawrance, Dr. M. Hamill, Herbert Moninger, Rev. Dixon, Mrs. BH Hamill, Mrs. M. Hamill, and Mra. M. 8. Jomoreaux will attend. Tullar & Meredith will lead music. All pastors, superintendents, teachers, officers, and scholars are invited to attend the “Feast of good things.”

Fayette man David Parker, a Civil War veteran who lost a foot at Gettysburg, credits Electric Bitters with restoring his health after costly doctoring for stomach trouble. He says the bitters are now his tonic and keep him strong. Sold for 50 cents at Geo. E. Sharrar's drug store. The note also urging support for Richard E. Hughes for County Clerk in Michigan elections.
