Gratiot Board Rejects Bond Submission
At Ithnes Monday the Gratiot County board of supervisors rejected a proposal to submit to voters a 500000 bond for good roads. The measure failed 17 to 8 after initial discussion at a St Louis good roads meeting and a county association session. Four Alma supervisors, three from St Louis, and Ithaca supported sending the proposal to voters. Officials plan to revisit the idea at the January meeting with clearer use allocations and road priorities to avoid past misunderstandings.
