Arrested on a Serious Charge Local Man in Alma Case

William M. Malcolm alias Wallan McCullum was arrested Friday on a charge of practicing bigamy. Police say he has three wives one in Alma, one in Grand Rapids, and a third in Racine. Lottie Ty. Hall of Hand, Rails filed the complaint. The case, linked to alleged adultery, proceeds in Williamston with the next hearing set for July 11.

Bound Over In Ithaca For Embezzlement Trial

William G Griffin formerly of Alia Grain and Lumber Company appeared in Ithaca on Monday after being released on bail on embezzlement charges. He was bound over to circuit court for trial amid reports of a shortage nearing three hundred dollars. Bail was posted and he was released pend irae.
