Ithaca night watchman Charles Coleman spotted a light near the Gleaners Elevator and rushed to investigate with George McMullen. Sheds measuring 30 by 60 feet at the rear of the building burned, hay, straw, lime, cement and fertilizer stored inside. Opening night in St Clair Michigan for Maxwell Motor Company four reel drama From Molten Steel to Automobile drew huge crowds. Mrs J M Leight of Alma Dies After Long Illness
Mrs J M Leight died at her Alma home September 25 1914 aged 53 years 19 days after a several month illness. Ida Louise Derringer born September 6 1861 in Hancock county Ohio came to care with M F P Burkhead of Alma. She married J M Leight September 12 1878 in Wood county Ohio leaving one son Carl and two sisters and one brother. Funeral by Rev J W Priest with interment Riverside cemetery. The Rebekahs conducted rites at the graveside amid profuse floral tributes.
