Death at Alma sugar factory claims John Wolfe
John Wolfe of West Superior street died after a Sunday evening accident at the Alma sugar factory. A fall in a dark drying room fractured his arm and leg, cut his head, and caused internal injuries. He died about five oclock Monday afternoon. He was born in 1849 in Lucas County Ohio and lived near Alma most of his life. Survived by his widow Nancy M. Wolfe and two sons, plus a brother and two sisters. Funeral held at Episcopal church with interment at Elwell cemetery.

Six year old Flint of Vestaburg was kicked in the face by a horse belonging to Supervisor George Gorsich while trying to scare it from his yard Sunday afternoon. The blow fractured nose bones and damaged the right eye. he is recovering with vision in the eye likely to return.
