A misadventure near Alma and Shepherd ends with Fred Gilman captured after a drunken spree. He hired a wagon, rode toward Mt. Young man loses left hand in farm shredder accident
Grover Yarnell, 20, at a farm northwest of town, was injured when his left hand was drawn into a Clarence Rock cart shredder. Doctors at Brainerd hospital amputated above the wrist after the machine was stopped. He withstood the shock and is described as recovering well.
