First State Bank of Alma Names New Cashier
The First State Bank of Alma announces C H Washburn as cashier replacing M G Ward after Ely Brewbaker’s death. Ward resumes duties as cashier temporarily until Washburn’s permanent appointment follows September stockholders meeting. The bank, dating to 1880, has grown steadily to nearly 500000 in resources with A W Wright as president and G S Ward among its directors.

Evangelist Edward Clutter to Lead Lincoln Meetings
Evangelist Edward Clutter and his wife will conduct evangelistic services in the G A R hall for about five weeks in Lincoln Nebraska. Sponsored by the Church of Christ the talks will cover Bible study and questions about souls and judgment. Clutter recently finished a successful series in Clearwater Kansas where 53 joined his church. Plans for exact dates are not set but he is expected to start by next Sunday.
