Quiet Wedding Unites Stewart and Miss Hannah at Alma Home
John E. Stewart of Detroit and Mina Hannah of Alma wed last Saturday at the bride’s brother E Hannah’s home. Rev W F Jones officiated with Miss Evelyn Sweetland as bridesmaid and W F Johnson as best man. About thirty relatives attended and refreshments followed. The couple will reside in Detroit, where Stewart will continue his business.

JW Hawkins Passes Away in Alma after illness
John W. Hawkins born in Yarmouth Canada in 1880 died at 67 after a two week illness. Funeral held at home led by Rev M D Carrel, remains sent to Ridgetown Canada for interment with family in attendance. Survived by wife Tamson Elliott two sons Harry and Will and two daughters. He was a carpenter and long time Methodist church member and secretary of the church trustees aiding the new house of worship.
