Mr and Mrs Day long residents of Arcada township celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on May 26 at the home of their son Dr John N Day in Alma. Married May 20 1850 in Detroit they moved across Michigan settling near Pine River Gratiot County. They have twelve children twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild. The event was marked by a dinner and gifts including a gold headed cane for Mr Day and a gold ring for Mrs Day.
