William Case Remembered in Alma Obituary

The Alma Sugar Co. records the death of William Case on May 21 after a long illness. A lifelong Exeter, Ontario resident, he lived sixty years with his wife and family, known for integrity, sociability, and devotion to faith. His remains were taken to Canada for burial beside descendants, aged eighty five.

World's Greatest Horse Tamer to Exhibit in Alma

Farmer Andrus, famed horse tamer, will feature in Alma with humane methods praised by clergy and press. He has drawn crowds in St Johns and other cities, with two daily shows starting in Ithaca on June 10 and Alma on June 14 and 17, inviting owners of vicious horses to write for free taming before the dates.

Alma Band Revival Delights Citizens In Old Town Echoes

Citizens heard the familiar Alma Band on Thorday evening at the firemen's hall. The return to form drew praise, with calls for two strong cornet and clarinet players to strengthen the group and a next meeting scheduled for Tuesday. Abrahams, Van Page, and Miss Margaret Mitchell were noted in local social circles.
