The obituary recalls Eva Elizabeth Ayres Holmes born July 24 1504 at Horton Michigan died May 6 after a seven day illness. A devoted wife and mother of three, she joined the Presbyterian church at Ashville in 1872 and lived a consistent Christian life. Funeral services were held May 17 at the Presbyterian church with Rev. W K Spencer and other ministers officiating. interment in Riverside cemetery. Her husband John W Holmes and children Milton, Bessie Lee, and Conway mourn her loss.
Mrs. Wright located Ira F. Wright and Emma Howry in Muskegon. The sheriff found them asleep in a room and both were arrested. Held on $1,000 bail, they await the Muskegon circuit court term with trial set for June 16 on adultery charges.

The Ladies Aid Society of the Presbyterian Church adopts resolutions on the death of Mrs J W Holmer a beloved and hardworking member whose ready aid to church work was unwavering The board directs that these resolutions be read and published in the local paper signed by Mrs L Goon Bev leader of the Ladies Aid Society and other officers
