University of Michigan Hears Rockwell To Lead Alma Schools
Allen F. Rockwell, current superintendent of the Vassar schools, is recommended by the University of Michigan and chosen by the Alma school board to take charge next year. Rockwell, a 1900 graduate, has three years as Howard City principal, three as Leslie superintendent, and two as Vassar superintendent, with a steady salary rise and a history of restoring Vassar to approved status. Big German carp caught by Alma boys near bridge
On Friday last week Bari Spicer and Geo Frousch, two Alma youths, hooked a monstrous German carp below the Superior 1 bridge. After several tries they landed the 17 pound fish using a makeshift multi-hook rig that has already caught many river carp this spring.
