Thomas Gallagher F, pioneer of the area, died at 81. Funeral held at the family home with Rev. Bodine officiating, interment beside his wife in Shepherd Cemetery. He leaves two sons and two daughters, all present. John Gallagher of Ludington attended from distance after news of the death. Community extends sympathy.

Willie Hopkins moves his family to a farm west of Elm Grove school for the summer. Haugh Byers and family from Alma visited their parents here. Lester Leonard and wife from Alma visited his parents last week. Mrs Charles Oliver of Alma, visiting relatives here, returned home Sunday. Mrs Grant Leonard has been ill this past week with grip. Mrs Mai Laudenalinger of St Louis visited her parents Sunday.
