Ruggles & Parsons Tractor Co unveils marked simple design
The Ruggles & Parsons Tractor Co introduces the R and P tractor with Italian PT pad wheels and self laying tracks for better traction on hills and uneven ground. A new internal gear reduction in front of the differential simplifies maintenance, while a low center of gravity and enclosed lubricated parts promise durability and safer operation. The machine delivers 12 drawbar horsepower and 20 belt horsepower, plows 6 to 7 acres daily, turns in 11 feet, and shifts from kerosene-friendly operation to rugged field work. Company leaders include W. Ruggles, C. W. Parsons, A. Burt, H. Green, and E. L. Smith.
