The Republican caucus in Arcada County will convene Friday March 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Ried Lake to select a party ticket and handle other routine business. The meeting is called by local party officials to organize endorsements and activities.

Entencia C Goo born January 1 in Lyons Wayne County New York later moved with parents to Ionia County Michigan. She married William Howe May 21 and lived on farms near Alma and Westernville New York before settling in Alma. A lifelong Christian, she served church communities and taught moral instruction to her children and neighbors. She died believing in Christ.
Freorgs BK was born in Hoes Clinton County Mirch on September 2 and died in Altan on February 35 10L. He taught school for seven years after graduating from Olivet College in 1872. He moved to Granet county seven years ago and settled near Alma then to this village a year ago. He married in July 1ime and is survived by wife, son, and daughter. He died after two weeks of illness from Ppl Febrosry and was a longtime member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Funeral services were held February 28 at the church, conducted by Rev E L Sinclair assisted by Rev J R Wooton.
The union evangelistic meetings begin in Alma in April with Chaplain White leading the Christian hosts. A union chorus will be organized and books selected. Services continue at churches for two weeks, then two weeks of prayers and cottage meetings before the main event. Citizens should avoid conflicting gatherings and merchants may close stores at 700 p.m. through April.
C B Ingersoll traveled to Ovo on Thursday for the funeral of his father BE K Ingersoll who died at 73 due to heart trouble. The family has endured multiple losses in two years with daughter Mrs George Slocum passing recently. Survivors include May Ingersoll of this city and sons C 18 Alma Will Detroit and Robert of this city. Funeral to be held from the house Thursday afternoon.
