Carson City defeated Elm Hall in a nine inning game on Republic field, driving the ball to multiple corners and benefiting from Elm Hall errors to score eleven runs while Elm Hall managed four. Alma High Seniors Marry Quietly in Sumner and Alma
Nelon Losey and Alton Stearns wed last Friday in Sumner while en route to Crystal Lake. The couple, both seniors at Alma High, were accompanied by two friends and kept the secret until public notice. White Shrine Initiates Largest Lodge Class Yet
On Tuesday June 14 the St Alma White Shrine welcomed a record lodge class with 43 in the afternoon and 51 in the evening, the largest ever taken in at one time and among the state’s largest. A sumptuous dinner for nearly 100 followed at 6:80. The dining room featured white and yellow, with Bernice Katen of Kalamazoo and Lula Carr of Grand Rapids among attendees. Grand Worthy Matron Princess Bell Watson of the O B E S attended the evening session.

Baker Killed Near Shepherd In Auto Wreck
