Michigan Pikers Boost For Better Highways
Hundreds of Alma residents welcomed the Michigan Pikers Association on the 1920 international tour through Ontario and Michigan. The caravan featured Republic trucks a concert by The Ford band and speeches by Dr Doo little Good Roads Earl and W S Galbrath praising good roads and the Republic trucks. The procession highlighted Alma on the Detroit to Soo route as part of a fourteen day journey ending in Detroit with emphasis on road development and funding debates.

The George W. Myers post No. 192 American Legion plans its first annual outing at Rock Lake on August 7 and 8. Nearly all Alma post members are expected to attend.
