Independent Opinion on Parties From The Dearborn Independent
The piece argues independent or self critical party voices reveal facts better than partisan views. It claims the Democratic convention at San Francisco was corrupted by liquor interests with paid agents and the wet plank defeated by Cox’s selection. It asserts McAdoo was financially backed and outlines Ford as a Democrat ally of Wilson, urging voters to favor clean progressive government over bootleg influence.
