The Maxwell farm residence two and a half miles west of Mt Pleasant was transformed into a reception hall Thursday evening for Floyd Maxwell and wife. Lanterns roses and ferns adorned the interior and lawn while over 150 guests attended from the community and beyond. Music included a soprano solo by Mrs Lou Maxwell and violin and piano performances by George Soper Harry Phillins and Sarah Maxwell.

A severe electrical storm caused extensive crop damage across Michigan, with Gratiot County among the hardest hit. Lightning Pranks Darken Sumner Area Homes
Storms last Sunday night and Monday morning caused widespread damage as lightning entered homes via electric wires. Evangelist to Tour in Enclosed Auto Caravan
Rev Joseph E Deal of Flint Michigan is building a six by eight foot six inch high six by eight foot wide eighteen foot long enclosed auto truck as a mobile church and home. The six cylinder free touring craft will carry his wife two children and Rev James Corbin on a missionary tour through Petoskey Tennessee and southern states.
