Midnight fireworks and crackling caps ushered Alma’s Fourth celebration. From Camp Eaton on Isnasp Lake July 5 1808 a letter notes 108 campers with two late arrivals and 119 in total 30 failed the U S surgeon exam in Pentwater Co.
