They left for a wedding trip to Detroit and nearby cities and will reside at 311 Woodworth Ave. The St John's Guild plans its next meeting January 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Mrs George Kuhlman's home with a potluck lunch for all members.

Monday evening the Ama fire department was called to a home formerly occupied by John Williamson on Republic Avenue where a fire started and grew rapidly before being discovered. Firefighters arrived as the blaze had gained headway and struggled to control it. the fire was not extinguished until the structure was nearly destroyed.
